The Shawnee Rotary Club commissioned local artist Charles Goslin, to create a granite monument supporting a bronze statue of a hand holding a globe for its 2005 centennial celebration. The statue, completed in July 2004 at Listowel Park (71st Street & Quivira Road), symbolizes Rotary International's worldwide commitment to service.
